ClubKilla

The internet has many ways to promote things you create and love. Social media has become a staple in self promotion. From Facebook to Kickstarter, there are many ways to get your project up and moving. For some it can be very profitable and some still fly under the radar. But the thing that matters is exposure.

That’s what I hope to achieve with my projects. At the end of the day when I get home from a long day of work that I have to do to pay my bills. I like to sit down and work on the things that I like. The projects that I wish were my job. That’s ClubKilla. An underground music project started by myself and other musician friends of mine: XandrosUltima and Jonsterz. And our numbers are growing.

What we hope to achieve is to show that there is more out there than just the standard mainstream Electronic music. A lot of times I’m sitting at my computer listening to the popular Electronic music. And I’m shocked sometimes at the uncreative efforts these artists put forth. Some tracks are incredible and some are very half done and mediocre. I find myself baffled when I see the place pushing over 100,000. I soon tire of of this and begin to search Soundcloud for something new and refreshing. And I always find something amazing and original by a unknown artist with 50 plays.

That’s the passion that started this project. Seeing and hearing these musicians that have minimal plays but should be having the maximum. There is unheard talent all over the internet. And my hope is to bring that talent to light. Show people that it’s not all the same. There are unique styles and genres of Electronic music that people have never heard of.

I listen to these mainstream artists and I feel there is so much more talent out there. A lot more than the Grammy’s or MTV can decide. Not to down any of those artists on their ‘popularity’ only the ones that seem to have started out big and fallen lackluster. The people think that’s all there is. There are artists with the same if not more talent waiting for you to discover. That’s what I hope to achieve with ClubKilla.

For those that are fans of Electronic music I have some links below for you to check out our music at ClubKilla. Also there is a link below to an event on Facebook as well. This Saturday we’re releasing our very first free compilation album via Bandcamp. We’re trying to get as much word out as possible. I hope you stop by, listen to the music, and if you like it share it with your friends.
