Welcome to The Pit!

The Pit began as a sports talk show on 88.3 FM WXOU out of Auburn Hills, hosted by Damien Dennis. The show covered Oakland University athletics and club sports as well as national level collegiate and professional teams. A mixture of music and gaming news was always blended in to keep the show a bit more unique and original.

The intent was always to transition the show into a full-fledged website covering gaming, music and primarily, sports. The show would continue as a podcast.

Well, this is the start of that endeavor! Keep an eye out and follow The Pit for content coming in the near future and hopefully, a podcast as well!

He is a part-time sports information specialist with Joliet Junior College. He is a former Heisman Trophy voter and a member of the Football Writers Association of America. He has a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism from Oakland University and a Masters of Arts in Sports Administration from Northwestern University.
